Townsquare Interactive’s Employee of the Month Feature: July 2025  

At Townsquare Interactive, we take pride in recognizing the individuals who go above and beyond for their teams, their colleagues, and the company as a whole. We are thrilled to celebrate Senior Recruiter, Jon Spitler, as our Employee of the Month for July 2025. Jon’s journey at TSI is a true reflection of resilience, growth, and passion for both people and performance. 

Jon’s TSI story began back in 2019, when he joined the company right out of college as a member of the sales team. Those two years laid the foundation for his career, teaching him the importance of client relationships, adaptability, and results-driven work. After briefly stepping away, Jon returned to TSI in February 2023 as a Sales Recruiter. In less than two years, his career has skyrocketed: earning four promotions and now serving as a Senior Recruiter. Jon credits his success to the unique culture at TSI:

“That growth really reflects what I love most about this role — if you put in the effort, the opportunities are endless. I thrive in a production-based environment, and TSI has given me the chance to challenge myself, grow, and succeed alongside a supportive team.” 

That mindset, combining drive, humility, and genuine care, has not gone unnoticed. Jon was nominated for Employee of the Month by several colleagues who praised his perseverance, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence. 

Melinda Thompson, Corporate Sales Trainer, highlighted Jon’s renewed energy and presence on the sales floor, noting how he immerses himself in the roles he’s hiring for, engages directly with reps, and builds relationships that elevate the recruiting process. She also emphasized his mentorship of new recruiter Max, pointing out how Jon’s enthusiasm has helped others feel more confident and prepared to succeed. 

Kaleigh Brower, Recruiting Director, spoke to Jon’s consistency and resilience, especially in the face of challenges. In July, Jon dealt with multiple offer declines, a setback that might discourage many. Instead, he kept his pipeline strong and stayed laser-focused—ultimately closing the month at an incredible 200% of his goal, with eight hires, seven of which were in Sales. His ability to persevere while maintaining quality and care for candidates exemplifies what it means to be a top performer at TSI. 

Regan McComb, Recruiting Manager, summed up Jon’s impact with one simple observation: his “high give a sh*t factor.” Jon approaches every candidate interaction with authenticity, ensuring that new hires feel welcomed, supported, and excited to start their TSI journey. Beyond recruitment, his natural leadership has made him a cornerstone of the team’s success. His guidance and encouragement for newer teammates, combined with his commitment to representing TSI with professionalism and passion, set him apart as a true role model. 

What makes Jon’s recognition even more special is the balance he strikes between performance and people. Yes, he exceeds goals and consistently raises the bar, but he also understands that recruitment is about more than just filling seats. It’s about shaping the future of TSI by thoughtfully pairing the right candidates with the right opportunities, and creating an environment where new hires can thrive. 

Jon’s story is a reminder of the limitless opportunities at TSI for those who bring passion, perseverance, and positivity to their work. From his early days on the sales floor to his current role leading recruitment efforts, his journey reflects the best of what our culture has to offer: hard work rewarded, growth encouraged, and people valued.
